    Fall Priority Deadline: Full applications received by May 1 will receive an admissions decision by June 1 and will have priority consideration for tuition waivers.

    Spring Priority Deadline: Full applications received by October 1 will receive an admissions decision by November 1 and will have priority consideration for tuition waivers.

  • Application Fee

    An $85.00 non-refundable application fee is paid online upon submission of the application.

  • Statement of Purpose

    The statement of purpose is the most important element of your application packet. This letter needs to reflect who you are, your goals, and why you would be an asset to the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program.

    It is very important to ensure it is grammatically correct and as detailed as possible. The statement of purpose should be no more than two pages in length. Please review what you have written before you submit it.

    Please submit a personal statement (maximum 750 words) addressing the following:

    • What drives your interest in public policy, and how have your past experiences or future career goals shaped your decision to pursue this degree?
    • Describe a time when you faced a significant academic, professional, or personal challenge and explain how you overcame it. What did you learn from the experience, and how will this resilience help you succeed in graduate school and a career in public policy?
    • How will your background, experiences, and personal qualities contribute to your success in graduate school and in your career in public policy?

  • Bachelor's Degree

    A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.

  • Official Transcripts

    You must provide official transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended. Official transcripts in languages other than English must also be submitted with a certified English translation.

  • Grade Point Average (GPA)

    A minimum overall undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.

  • Letters of Recommendation

    Two letters of recommendation must be provided, the letters must be from either a former faculty member/instructor or a workplace supervisor. These letters should be submitted in English, or they should be accompanied with a certified English translation.
